A glass wall panel measuring 155 x 67 cms, with a pine frame painted and stained to mimic driftwood.
The process was begun by the customer’s parents, as a gift for their daughter and her husband. I was commissioned to create a wall-hanging panel to include as many of the Felixstowe features as I could manage … and it turned out to be a lovely illustration of just how varied the town is! Not just a shipping dock (although the cranes do appear in the sea mist), we also have a sunrise, sky full of gulls, Martello Tower and plenty of colourful beach huts, the ever-changing sea and a rugged shoreline which is a constant pleasure for beach combers.
The packing and delivery of this panel was one of the easiest as I could simply walk it round to the next road from my studio.
